Captivating Quartz Countertops

Unlike granite and marble, majority of quartz is no longer mined but is factory engineered and manufactured. Raw quartz is crushed, mixed with synthetic resin, and added with colorants. A composition of over 90% stone that's pressed down into the countertop molding. 

Other than being a simple clean up countertop, quartz has its advantages over natural stone. One prime advantage is that quartz can be manufactured to be a variety of colors and is non-porous. Meaning that staining is almost impossible with an impregnatable surface area to germs and bacteria. 

As an engineered material, quartz countertops are designed to provide the maximum level of efficiency and utilization in a home. Quartz slabs are more pliable that natural stones and are less likely to chip. Meaning that quartz countertops will last for decades with only a mild level of maintenance and cleaning.
